Teaching Pakistan To Code.
We empower high school students of all backgrounds by teaching them to excel in software engineering. Our self-developed course teaches the coding used by professionals in industry today.
Our volunteer team - who have worked at companies including Google and SNP - are world-class engineers themselves. They ensure our students in Pakistan become the next generation of outstanding engineers.
Our Mission
Silicon Prep wants to ensure every student in Pakistan has access to free, high quality software education, and pathways to high quality programs and jobs once they’ve completed the course.
Comprehensive Course
Our software course thoroughly covers software programming for students who may never have coded before. We developed these lessons to ensure students were taught every critical principle in modern software engineering, providing hundreds of exercises to cement this understanding.
By the time a student completes the Silicon Prep course, he or she has a professional competency in programming.
A Network of Engineers
Silicon Prep doesn’t just provide software education. We want to create a culture and network for budding software engineers. We organize hackathons (coding competitions) and seminars to foster an environment of active learning and creating.
We also provide students with mentors who can guide them on their journey of engineering.
Pathways to Success
We don’t stop once a student has completed our course. When a student pursues higher education, we help place them in the best software college programs, nationally or abroad. When a student is ready to find work, we connect them with high paying software jobs. And for our entrepreneurs, we connect them with a network of investors and mentors to help them start a thriving tech startup that becomes the next Facebook or Google.
